World Champs Rocked: National Coverage

The 2010 Four Square World Championships event on Feb 27, 2010, was the biggest we have ever seen. It was fully outfitted with 100 players on eight championship courts and crowned a number of new world champions for the year. In the photo above you will see nearly all the competitors attending this event, except for the ones who raced out to their swanky prep trailers to hit their saunas between rounds.

Crushed Collar Bone

You know I don't want to cheapen the Hall of Pain with so many non-four square related injuries but it's worth mentioning our league member, Amos, and his crushed collar bone. He earned this on his bike this month and as you can see it will likely take him out of the season for a little while. We got together and all autographed a ball for him to keep in the house and fill him with purpose while he heals. He writes us from his percoset-lair:

2010 Season & Registration

It's that time of year, again. Labor Day has put the final deathnail in summer's coffin and you're trying to figure out what you will do to keep sane until the sun come back out in May. Lots of people feel this way so you aren't alone, and we can suggest just the thing to keep you moving this winter.

Four square season is about to begin.

Philadelphia's Balls Get Blocked by Cops

A culture of pick up four square has been forming in a public park in Philadelphia. Just when they were gaining some traction with their hood, the city was forced to clamp down on their ball playing policy. Apparently, there is no ball playing allowed in city parks - including footballs and baseballs and four square balls - and these kids have to find a new home.
