It can't be used as a strategy...
Dear Sean, A shoeshine is when on the serve, the server hits the person in the shoe and they're automatically out. It can be used as a strategy. I can barely possibly hit it!

Squarefour's fifth season wrapped up on Saturday, April 5, with our traditional black tie potluck during which we issued out tons of awards and trophies to our league members and friends. Guests even waltzed out of this shin dig with hot season shirts and hoodies.
Don't cry. There are many opportunities to play four square throughout the off season and summer months. In fact, some of our members have some things going that you are welcome to attend. Check these out:
April 26, 1PM, at Summer and Craigie St in Somerville, member Amos Worth will host an outdoor four square bash to be followed by some outdoor grilling at a nearby back yard. There are high hopes of making this a regular weekly event. Weather permitting, check here often for updates.
Meredith claims the number one trophy in 2008 after five full years of league play. Meredith started playing in the league in 2003, our inaugural year, and has attended the four square world championships for four years in a row - even one year coming within a few seconds of claiming that title as well. She will no longer sit in the shadow of number one, but is now a champion in her own right.
Here is Tiger Claw as he accepts, gracefully, his mens league championship in 2008. Christian Housh sat in the number two position in both the 2007 league championships and in the 2007 world championships. Now he has bushwhacked, snarled and cussed his way to the top in 2008. He is pictured here in his, uh, formal costume.
Dear Sean, How do you decide each players final score?
Unfortunately hosted on YouTube so it looks like crap, but you can still see lots of the action and some of the knock down plays of the finalist round. Published by the Canadian square ball committee.
Justine Petrillo returned from the Four Square World Champion with her top title for two years in a row, and once again was acknowledged by the Mayor of the City of Cambridge for her achievements. On March 3, 2008, Justine was presented with a proclamation from the Cambridge City Council, that read as follows:
Dear Sean, I was at the World Championships and I just want to know where you bought the balls that we used. Also I know that you have league competitions in Boston every two weeks but sadly I can't make it to those games, so I was wondering if there are any other open tournaments during the year.
A crapload of Squarefour players arrived in Bridgeton, ME, on February 16, 2008, to take home the Team Award in the Four Square World Championships. Having the highest amount of points scored by team finalists in the last round of the men's and women's divisions, Squarefour took the title away from last year's winners, the University of Connecticut Four Square Team. Take a look at some of the other winners and photos in our 2008 World Champs gallery.
