We are entering our fourth year of four square in Cambridge! This means lots of things for our modest league, not the least of which is enough street cred and press coverage lately has drawn lots of attention to the cool things we do. We anticipate 2007 to be a great year we're sure that we'll need an additional set of hands to help us make this year the best yet.

We are seeking one additional volunteer league organizer to contribute to our leadership team. Our two standing volunteers organizers, Sean Effel and Dana Ostberg, have traditionally handled all aspects of the league's operations from publicity, recruiting and logistics to scorekeeping, social events, team excursions and managing our end-of-season banquet. We're looking for another individual to share in these responsibilities and be part of a force to be reckoned with in the four square world.

Despite its volunteer status this role is profoundly rewarding. Organizers are a center point of communication for a team of motivated, enthusiastic recreationers. Organizers learn excellent management skills by facilitating one of the more unique events in the Boston area. And the occasionally get their names in lights in local papers and news programs, we stand out in Boston and it feels great.

If you think you fit this description and would like to volunteer and contribute for the term of our season, please contact us. We would be happy to talk with you!
